Privacy
The Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island is committed to protecting your privacy. This statement explains what information this video archive collects and how it is used.
What we collect
This site uses Matomo, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host ourselves on our own servers. We use it only to understand, in aggregate, how the archive is used — which proceedings are watched and which pages are visited.
- We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party advertising or tracking services.
- This site does not use tracking cookies, and it respects your browser's "Do Not Track" setting.
- Your browsing data is never sold or shared with third parties.
- IP addresses are anonymized, and we do not build advertising profiles.
We also record simple, anonymous counts of video plays so we know which proceedings are of interest. These counts are not linked to you.
Information you choose to send
If you use the "Report an issue" feature and include your email address, we use it only to follow up on the problem you reported.
Keeping the site safe
This site is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection and loads no third-party advertising or analytics code. Visitor statistics are kept on our own servers using anonymized data, and we follow standard web-security practices to protect the site and the information it holds.
Your rights
Personal information in the custody of the Legislative Assembly is handled in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPP) of Prince Edward Island. To ask about information we hold, contact [the Assembly's privacy contact — name, email, phone].
